Today, my copy of Opera 10 for Mac did a particular stunt for the third time I can remember. It freezes completely, uses in the neighbourhood of 50% of my CPU, and treats me to a repeat of this performance despite re-launching Opera and rebooting my Mac.
Mac programs that freeze are quite rare actually, and if it ever does happen, simply re-launching it should work basically every time. Well, it doesn't in this case...

A current version of TASM (Turbo Assembler) is rather hard to come by on the Web. Below is a .zip file you can download that is ready-to-go with TASM 5. I promise it worked for me for a whole semester, and I never had complaints about it.
As anyone even casually checking will have noticed, prices for GPS units have dropped steadily over the last few years. One month ago, I came up with enough excuses to convince me that a GPS was in my future. I'll save the details and comparisons for another post (maybe), but the point is that I bought a used Garmin nuvi 760. Now the question was how could I use it for flying?
Spelling is pretty important to me, and I have found many a mistake on all sorts of websites. I would have thought, though, that a large company such as Apple would double-check everything going out their doors. Apparently not.
